By accessing or using PricePager ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

PricePager is a price tracking and comparison platform that enables users to:

  • Access price data programmatically via our API (on applicable plans)

We strive to provide accurate information, but prices and availability are determined by third-party retailers and may change without notice.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features, you must register for an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free and Paid Plans

PricePager offers both free and paid subscription plans. Each plan has specific features, limitations, and pricing as described on our pricing page.

Billing

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated
  • We may change pricing with 30 days notice; existing subscriptions are honored until renewal

Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime through your account settings or by contacting support.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal). By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PricePager only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Abuse the Service: Attempt to bypass rate limits, overload our systems, or interfere with other users
  • Scrape or harvest: Use automated tools to collect data from our platform without authorization
  • Redistribute: Resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute our services or data without permission
  • Circumvent security: Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts without authorization
  • Violate laws: Use the Service for any illegal activity or to violate others' rights
  • Harm others: Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our staff
  • Spread malware: Upload viruses, malicious code, or harmful content

6. API Usage

If your plan includes API access:

  • You must use valid API credentials and keep them confidential
  • You must comply with rate limits and usage quotas for your plan
  • You may not share API access with unauthorized parties
  • We may revoke API access for violations of these Terms
  • API data may not be used to build competing services without permission

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PricePager and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes our:

  • Software, code, and algorithms
  • Documentation and written content
  • Price tracking methodology and systems

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as product lists). By using our Service, you grant us a license to use this content to provide and improve our services.

Third-Party Content

Product information, images, and prices displayed on PricePager are sourced from third-party retailers and remain their property. We display this information for price comparison purposes.

8. Data Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive for accuracy, please understand:

  • Prices change: Retailer prices may change at any time without notice
  • Availability varies: Product availability is determined by retailers
  • Data delays: There may be delays between price changes and our updates
  • Not all products: We may not track all products or all retailers
  • No guarantees: We cannot guarantee the accuracy of any price or availability data

Always verify prices directly with retailers before making purchase decisions.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

PricePager may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for:

  • The content, privacy policies, or practices of third parties
  • Any transactions you conduct with third-party retailers
  • Any damages arising from your use of third-party services

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF CONTENT
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRICEPAGER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account

  • Any purchase decisions made based on our price data

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PricePager, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

15. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and PricePager
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition
